Innovative DC-DC MPPT solar controllers for stand-alone or off-grid solar systems

Our MPPT charge controllers optimize, at very high efficiency, the energy supplied by one or more monocrystalline or polycrystalline photovoltaic panels powering a DC load, with variable power or speed “as the sun shines” (i.e. Solar Direct Drive or SDD), from morning to evening, even at very low brightness levels. The battery becomes unnecessary in most cases, but remains optional if desired.

To exploit all the variable solar energy available, the MPPT controller is an indispensable link between the photovoltaic panel(s) and the load (hydraulic pump, fan, refrigerator, air conditioning, bicycle, battery charger, water desalination, inverter, etc.).

How do our MPPT solar controllers differ from the regular solar controllers sold on the global stand-alone solar market in recent years?

ELECDAN CONVERTER radically simplifies photovoltaic energy optimization. Instead of using complex digital sequences to automatically find the Maximum Power Point (MPP), ELECDAN CONVERTER precisely determines the MPP (at least 10 times per second) by means of permanent, self-powered analog tracking.

Advantages: disappearance of the usual battery and chemical capacitors; uselessness of a current sensor and switches; deletion of memory, microprocessor or customizable algorithms.

Controlling the DC-DC regulator connected to the mono or polycrystalline panel, this novel analog MPPT allows extreme miniaturization and tenfold reliability, while increasing thermal insensitivity and electromagnetic protection (automatic restart after a disturbance or possible electromagnetic attack).

Our range of MPPT DC-DC controllers for SDD (Solar Direct Drive) off-grid sites or motors

  • Range from 50W/5V to over 2.4kW/100V
  • Suitable for solar systems comprising monocrystalline or polycrystalline photovoltaic panels (rigid or flexible)
  • No battery required (but can be connected to most of our controllers, if desired)
  • Response time: less than 0.1 seconds
  • Relieves the strain on mechanical transmissions: when suddenly connected to a loaded motor, the regulator supplies it with a voltage that is immediately lowered, then restored linearly in just a few seconds (graphs on request).
